Abstract:
Disclosed in embodiments of the present application are a retransmission method and a related device, which are used to determine a condition for a terminal device to trigger retransmission, thereby improving the resource utilization rate, increasing the data transmission rate, and reducing data transmission latency. The method in an embodiment of the present application comprises: a terminal device receives a configuration authorization from a network device, the configuration authorization corresponding to at least one hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process. The terminal device may determine from the at least one HARQ process a first HARQ process used for transmitting uplink data. In addition, the first HARQ process has an associated first timer and an associated second timer. When the first timer is not running, the terminal device uses the configuration authorization to send uplink data and starts up the first timer. When the first timer is running and the second timer is not running, the terminal device retransmits the uplink data.
