Abstract:

A retroreflecting sheet which emits light when irradiated with ultraviolet rays and is composed of a retroreflecting area where retroreflecting elements are arranged and a light-emitting area which emits light when the area is irradiated with ultraviolet rays. The light-emitting area containing a fluorescent substance which emits light when irradiated with ultraviolet rays at a specific luminance brightness and a resin component. A display device constituted by combining such a retroreflecting sheet with an ultraviolet-ray irradiating means for irradiating the sheet with ultraviolet rays. When illuminated by a light source, the retroreflecting sheet can be clearly recognized not only by a viewer in a position on the line connecting the light source and the sheet, but also another viewer in another position off the line.
