Abstract:
A ribbon cartridge and a recording device. The ribbon cartridge comprises a ribbon guide (51) having pairs of upper and lower plates (83) and (84) restricting the upper and lower ends of an ink ribbon (52), ribbon guide plates (85) disposed between the pairs of upper and lower plates (83) and (84) and guiding the non-transfer surface of the ink ribbon (52), and ribbon retaining bars (87A) and (87B) installed across the pairs of upper and lower plates (83) and (84) and guiding the transfer surface of the ink ribbon (52). Slits (100A) and (100B) for passing the ink ribbon (52) therethrough are formed in the lower plates (84) so as to surround the lower end parts (91A) and (91B) of the ribbon retaining bars (87A) and (87B).
