Abstract:

Provided is a rigid core for forming a tire, configured so that the biting of rubber does not occur and so that the roundness of the core body is prevented from deteriorating. [Solution] A core body comprises core segments divided in the circumferential direction. Both circumferential end surfaces of each of the core segments are set as joining surfaces, and the core body is formed by abutting the circumferentially adjacent joining surfaces of the core segments on each other. At least one of circumferentially adjacent joining surfaces is formed as a stepped joining surface which comprises a rim surface section extending along the outer peripheral edge of the at least one joining surface, and which also comprises a recessed surface section surrounded by the rim surface section and recessed in a stepped shape from the rim surface section. As a result of this configuration, the adjacent joining surfaces are in contact with each other only at the rim surface sections.
