Abstract:
A rim for imparting a new decoration to spectacles while enhancing holding power of lenses through a simple arrangement. In the rims (1) of spectacles each having a fitting groove (3) formed to be fitted to a fitting portion (5a) formed to project from the side face of a lens (5) and holding the lens (5), a groove (4) is formed in the bottom of the fitting groove (3) along the top (5b) of the fitting portion (5a). The groove (4) may be filled with a shock absorbing material or may be filled or coated with paint.
