Abstract:
Provided is a technique that achieves accurate risk prediction in accordance with the surrounding situation. An observation information acquisition unit (2) acquires observation information related to the surrounding situation of a vehicle. A logical expression conversion unit (3) converts the observation information acquired by the observation information acquisition unit into a logical expression that expresses the surrounding situation of the vehicle. A hypothesis inference unit (5) verifies, as the subject to be verified, a risk predicted from said logical expression, which has been converted by the logical expression conversion unit, by weighted hypothesis inference using a knowledge base (4) which is a set of rules that describe, with logical expressions, risks occurring while driving the vehicle and general knowledge. An inference result interpretation unit (6) finds the risk degree for the verified risk from a verification cost found in the course of the inference by the hypothesis inference unit, and correlates the logical expression used for the verification with the observation information.
