Abstract:
A road assistance device (1) designed to induce the starting of a vehicle in failure induced by a plurality of failures is described, this device (1) consists of: a case (2) designed to contain the device (1); at least one fuel container (3); at least one hydraulic pump (4), arranged inside the fuel container (3), connected through a connection means (5) with at least one injector (6); the injector (6) is equipped with at least one injection means (6a), designed to connect any type of vehicle intake duct, moreover the injector (6) is connected with at least one electrical control unit (7); the electrical control unit (7), equipped with at least one square wave generator (7a) connected to the injector (6) by means of a first electrical connection means (7b), and simultaneously connected to the hydraulic pump (4) by means of a second electrical connection means (7c), and designed to electrically control by means of the square wave generator (7a) the passage and quantity of fuel to be injected into the intake duct, inducing starting and favoring a conduction of the vehicle to a repair point.

Claims:
CLAIMS

1) Road assistance device (1) characterized in that it is designed to start at least one faulty vehicle having a plurality of faults, said device (1) being composed of:

- a case (2) designed to contain said device (1); - at least one containing means (3), designed to contain fuel;

- at least one hydraulic pump (4), arranged inside said containing means (3) connected on its top to a lower end of at least one connecting means (5), and designed to enable a passage of said fuel inside said connecting means (5);

- said connecting means (5), connected on its bottom to said hydraulic pump (4) and connected on its top to at least one injector (6);

- said injector (6) is equipped with at least one injection means (6a), designed to be connected to any type of suction duct of said faulty vehicle, and moreover said injector (6) is connected at an upper end thereof to said connecting means (5) and at a side end thereof to at least one electric unit (7);

- said electric unit (7), equipped with at least one square wave generator (7a) connected to said injector (6) through first electric connection means (7b), and simultaneously connected to said hydraulic pump (4) through second electric connection means (7c), and designed to electrically drive through said square wave generator (7a) the passage and the amount of said fuel to be injected inside said suction device, performing a startup and enabling to drive said vehicle to a repair station.

2) Device (1) according to the previous claim, characterized in that said device is portable, and is further equipped with: at least one grip means (2a), physically connected to said case (2) of said device (1) and designed to perform a transport of said device (1) next to said faulty vehicle; - a first potentiometer (7d), physically connected to said electric unit (7), designed to regulate an action of said square wave generator (7a), in particular by modulating the frequency of a square wave generated by said square wave generator (7a), depending on said faulty vehicle; electric power supply means (8), designed to provide electric supply to said electric unit (7) and consequently to said device (1) and to start the faulty vehicle; and at least one recharging element arranged on said case (2), designed to perform an electric recharge of said electric power supply means (8).

3) Device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that said device (1) is integrated inside said vehicle, next to at least one return element, designed to enable an amount of excess fuel to outflow into said containing means (3), ensuring a recirculation of fuel inside said containing means (3) during a period of lack of use of said device (1).

4) Device (1) according to the previous claim, characterized in that said device (1) integrated in the vehicle can be activated by a user in case of failure of said vehicle through at least one activating device, designed to prevent an activation of said device (1) during an attempt of theft of said vehicle, preventing a thieve from starting said vehicle up.

5) Device (1) according to the previous claim, characterized in that said integrated device (1) is equipped with: a second potentiometer, arranged on an accelerator device of said vehicle and physically connected to said electric unit (7), designed to regulate said action of said square wave generator (7a), allowing to activate and operate said device

(1) should the series potentiometer of said vehicle be faulty; and said injector (6) connected to said suction device of said faulty vehicle through at least one junction element and a first end of said junction element is equipped with a first regulating device, arranged in a normally open status, and connected to a supply circuit as equipment of said faulty vehicle, and simultaneously a second end of said junction element is equipped with a second regulating device, arranged in a normally closed status and connected to said injector (6) of said device (1).

6) Device (1) according to any one of the previous claims, characterized in that said containing means (3) are equipped with: at least one vent valve (3a) arranged on its top; at least one stabilizing means (9) arranged inside said containing means (3), designed to prevent said containing means (3) from overturning, causing the undesired outflow of said fuel; a level sensor designed to detect an amount of fuel present inside said containing means (3), and if said amount is below a fixed threshold, said hydraulic pump (4) are not activated.

7) Method for starting a faulty vehicle through said device (1) according to any one of the previous claim, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: a) providing said device (1); b) manually connecting said injection means (6a) to said suction duct of said faulty vehicle; c) activating said electrical control unit (7) and said square wave generator (7a), and sending at least one electric signal, through said first and said second electric connection means (7b), (7c), respectively to said injector (6), and to said hydraulic pump (4); d) inducing said passage of said fuel on said containing means (3), through said connecting means (5) connected to said hydraulic pump (4), to said injector (6); e) performing said passage of said fuel from said injector (6) inside said suction duct of said faulty vehicle, through said injection means (6a) of said injector (6); and f) starting and driving said faulty vehicle to said repair station. 8) Method for starting said faulty vehicle through the portable road assistance device (1) according to claims 1, 2 and 6, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: activating said device (1) through an activation of a switch arranged o the device by said user; and performing said steps c) to f) of the method according to the previous claim.

Description:
ROAD ASSISTANCE DEVICE AND RELATED METHOD

The present invention refers to a road assistance device for a damaged vehicle, in particular for a portable device. The present invention further refers to a method of starting a faulty vehicle by means of the road assistance device.

Systems and devices relating to electric starting or topping up oil are known to the art, as described, for example, in patents: CN206834507, US2019131774, CN108928325, CN104632436, or by drones, as described, for example, in patent US2018319494 . There are also known devices and methods for controlling and regulating vehicle starting systems, and for optimizing the efficiency of such systems such as those described for example in the patents, CN208294595, EE201200024,

CN102884377, JP2015209826.

As known an emergency starter device for a car in fault due to the discharged battery equipped with cables to connect the starter to the car battery by means of the pliers located at the ends, and allow the starting of the car in failure, but the use of this device is limited only if the car battery is discharged, after checking the compatibility of the device and the power supplied by the device with the type of vehicle in failure.

It is evident that there is not a single portable device or device integrated into the vehicle capable of allowing the starting of the vehicle in failure, and to lead it to a repair point, regardless of the type of failure that caused the vehicle to break down.

The object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems of the prior art by providing a road assistance device designed to induce the starting of a vehicle in failure induced by a plurality of failures.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a portable road assistance device for a damaged vehicle.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a road assistance device integrated into a vehicle, and designed to induce the starting of a vehicle in failure. A final object of the present invention is to provide a method for implementing the assistance device of a damaged vehicle.

The above and other objects and advantages of the invention, as will become apparent from the following description, are achieved with an assistance device road as described in claim 1. Furthermore, the above and other objects and advantages of the invention are achieved with a method of starting a damaged vehicle, as described in claim 7. Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variations of the present invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.

It is intended that all enclosed claims are an integral part of the present description.

It will be immediately obvious that numerous variations and modifications (for example related to shape, sizes, arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) can be made to what is described, without departing from the scope of the invention, as contained in the enclosed claims. The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments thereof, provided as a non-limiting example, with reference to the enclosed drawings, in which: Fig.l shows a schematic view of a preferred embodiment of the device according to the present invention; and

FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of a component of the device according to the present invention.

As known, modern vehicles are equipped with one or more electronic control units for managing the engine, starting, fuel injection and combustion, etc. based on a series of parameters detected with special sensors, such as, for example, engine temperature, vehicle speed, air pressure in the intake ducts, intake air temperature, engine rotation. It is evident that the operation of these electrical control units is easily banned by failures or defects in the plurality of vehicle components, such as, for example, sensors, injectors, etc ... inhibiting the starting of the vehicle, consequently with reference to FIG. 1, a road assistance device 1, according to the present invention, of a broken vehicle, is designed to induce the starting of a damaged vehicle, such as, for example, a petrol or diesel vehicle, induced by a plurality of failures, such as, for example, failure of electronic components designed to operate the vehicle power supply, and / or failure of a plurality of injectors, and / or failure of the main accumulator, and / or failure of ignition sensors, and / or alternator failure, and / or main battery failure, and / or injection system failure, and / or injection of fuels not suitable for the type of engine, etc.... and facilitating the driving of the vehicle to a repair point, such as, for example, a workshop, or other similar. Advantageously, the device 1 comprises: a case 2, such as, for example, a container, or a case, or other similar designed to contain the device 1; at least containing means 3, such as for example a tank, or other similar, designed to contain fuel, such as, for example, petrol, or diesel, or other similar, and equipped at the top with at least one bleed valve 3a and inside at least a stabilizing means 9, such as, for example, an inertia switch, or other similar, designed to prevent overturning of the containing means 3, inducing the involuntary outflow of the fuel at least one hydraulic pump 4, arranged inside the containing means 3 connected at the top with a lower end of at least one connection means 5, and designed to facilitate the passage of the fuel to the inside of the connecting means 5; the connection means 5, such as for example a high pressure pipe, or other similar, connected at the bottom with the hydraulic pump 4 and connected at the top with at least one injector 6, such as, for example, an electronic injector for internal combustion engines, or other analogue; the injector 6 is equipped with an inlet means 6a, such as, for example, a conical adapter, or other analogous, designed to connect to any type of intake duct of the damaged vehicle, moreover the injector 6 is connected with an upper end with the connection means 5 and with a lateral end with at least one electrical control unit 7; the electrical control unit 7 equipped with at least one square wave generator 7a connected to the injector 6 by means of a first electrical connection means 7b, and simultaneously connected to the hydraulic pump 4 by means of a second electrical connection means 7c, and designed to control electrically by means of the square wave generator 7a the passage and quantity of fuel to be injected into the intake duct to allow the vehicle to be started and driven to a repair point; an electrical power supply means 8, such as, for example, a high-voltage booster battery, or other similar, designed both to supply electrical power to the electrical control unit 7 and consequently to the device 1, and to induce the starting of the vehicle in failure, if the means of power supply integrated in the damaged vehicle is damaged or exhausted. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 1 by way of non-limiting example, the road assistance device 1 is portable, allowing optimized road assistance intervention of the vehicle in failure, and is also equipped with: - a grip means 2a, such as, for example, a handle , or other analogue, physically connected to the case 2 of the device 1 and designed to facilitate the transport of the device 1 in proximity to the damaged vehicle; - a first potentiometer 7d, such as, for example, a variable rheostat, or other analogue, physically connected to the electrical control unit 7, designed to regulate the action of the square wave generator 7a, in particular by modulating the frequency of the square wave generated by the square wave generator 7a, according to the constructive characteristics of the damaged vehicle; and - at least one charging element, such as for example a socket, arranged on the case 2, designed to facilitate the electric charging of the electric power supply means 8.

Advantageously in a second embodiment the device 1 is integrated inside the vehicle, preferably inserted in the engine compartment of the vehicle, in correspondence with at least one return element, such as, for example, a return pipe, or other similar, designed to favor the flow of an excess amount of fuel into the containing means 3, ensuring recirculation and regeneration of the fuel to the inside the containing means 3 during a period of inactivity of the device 1, in particular the containing means 3 is equipped with a level sensor designed to detect the quantity of fuel present inside the containing means 3, ensuring that the containing means 3 always contains an adequate quantity of fuel necessary for the operation of the device 1 and for starting the vehicle.

Furthermore, the device 1 integrated in the vehicle can be activated by the user in the event of a vehicle breakdown by means of at least one activation device, such as, for example, a switch or similar arranged on an instrument panel of the vehicle, and equipped with at least one anti- burglary means , preferably activated by means of a secret code, designed to prevent activation of the device 1 during an attempted break-in of the vehicle, preventing the vehicle from being started by a thief.

Finally, the device 1 integrated in the vehicle is also equipped with a second potentiometer, arranged on the accelerator device of the vehicle and physically connected to the electrical control unit 7, designed to regulate the action of the square wave generator 7a, in particular by modulating the frequency of the square wave generated by the square wave generator 7a, and allowing the activation and operation of the device 1 if the serial potentiometer of the vehicle were in fault.

Advantageously, the injector 6 of the device 1 integrated in the vehicle is connected to the intake duct of the vehicle by means of a joining element, such as, for example, a Y, or T, or other similar connection, a first end of the element connection is equipped with a first adjustment device, such as, for example, a magnetic, electric solenoid valve, arranged in a normally open state, and connected to the power supply circuit supplied with the vehicle, and simultaneously a second end of the junction is equipped with a second adjustment device, such as, for example, a magnetic, electric solenoid valve arranged in one normally closed state and connected to injector 6 of device 1.

Method of starting the damaged vehicle by means of the road assistance device 1, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: a) setting up the device 1; b) manual connection of the injection means 6a in the intake duct of the damaged vehicle; c) activation of the electrical control unit 7 and of the square wave generator 7a, and, by sending an electric signal, by means of the first means and the second means of electrical connection means 7b, and 7c, respectively to the injector 6, and to the hydraulic pump 4 ; d) induction of the passage of fuel from the containing means 3, by means of the connection means 5 connected to the hydraulic pump 4 , to the injector

6; e) induction of the passage of fuel from injector 6 inside the intake duct of the vehicle, by injection means 6a of injector 6; and f) starting and driving the damaged vehicle to the repair point.

Finally, the method of starting a faulty vehicle using the integrated road assistance device 1 includes the following steps: activation of the device 1 by activating the switch placed on the instrument panel of the vehicle by the user; steps c) to f).
