Abstract:
A roadside apparatus for accurately determining whether or not vehicles are travelling in a convoy, a server apparatus, a vehicle onboard apparatus, a convoy travelling determination method, and a traffic information prediction system are provided. The roadside apparatus comprises: a vehicle-side communication unit that receives travelling history including position information, speed information, and time information acquired regularly for the vehicle; a memory unit that stores travelling histories of a plurality of vehicles, the plurality of vehicles forming a vehicle group that passes through any landpoint within a fixed time period; and a convoy travelling determination unit that determines whether or not trailing vehicles other than the vehicle in the lead of the vehicle group are travelling in a convoy on the basis of the stored travelling histories for the plurality of vehicles.
