Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the safety of a robot arm mechanism. A robot arm mechanism pertaining to an embodiment has multiple link parts 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29. The multiple link parts are joined together by multiple joint parts J1, J2, J3, J4, J5, J6. The multiple link parts are respectively covered by covers 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37. Each of the covers is supported by push button type switches 100 or by pressure sensors 300. When a worker has touched any one of the covers, the button type switch or pressure sensor supporting the cover turns on. As a result, the worker's touch to the one of the covers is detected. A touch by a worker or the like can be detected in a wide range.
