Abstract:
A robot is disclosed. The present robot comprises: a driving unit; a communication interface including a UWB module; a distance sensor; a memory for storing at least one instruction; and a processor configured to, by executing the at least one instruction, receive a first UWB signal from an object, through the UWB module; identify, on the basis of the received first UWB signal, whether the robot is located in the same space as the object; if identified as being located in the same space as the object, control the robot to drive to the object on the basis of the received first UWB signal, and if identified as being located in a space different from that of the object, control the driving unit such that the robot moves to the same space as the object, by using coordinate information of the robot and the object, received from a beacon located in the same space as the robot, and using a sensing value obtained from the distance sensor.
