Abstract:
A robot (1) is provided with: an arm (4); a shaft (5) supported at a fore end of the arm (4) so as to be movable in a predetermined axis (C) direction; a power transmission unit (7) fixed to the arm (4) and connected to a power source (100); and a power receiving unit (8) and a battery (9) fixed with respect to the shaft (5). When the shaft (5) is disposed in a predetermined position in the axis (C) direction, the power receiving unit (8) is brought close to the power transmission unit (7) to wirelessly receive electric power transmitted from the power transmission unit (7). The battery (9) stores the electric power received by the power receiving unit (8) and is used as a power source for a device (6) attached to the shaft (5).
