Abstract:
Systems and methods for controlling a robotic cart (100). The systems comprise a robotic cart (100) and a tracking tag (235). The robotic cart (100) includes a chassis (105), a drive assembly (115), one or more sensors configured to sense a location of a user relative to the robotic cart (100), a power supply (220), and an electronic controller (205) including a memory (215) and an electronic processor (210). The electronic controller (205) is configured to receive, via the one or more sensors, the location of the user relative to the robotic cart (100). The electronic controller (205) is further configured to control the drive assembly (115) to move the robotic cart (100) to the location of the user. The tracking tag (235) is separate from the robotic cart (100) and includes a housing (400) and at least one unit configured to provide a signal corresponding to the location of the user to the one or more sensors of the robotic cart (100).
