Abstract:
Provided is a rocking toy capable of reproducing the rocking motions of a rocking
member smoothly. The rocking toy comprises a pair of rocking arm members. Further
comprised is a connecting means arranged for connecting the paired arm members
movably to transmit the rotating drive force fed to one arm member, to the other
arm member. The paired arm members are equipped with weights at their individual
lower end portions. Further comprised is a branch arm member, which is branched
from at least one of the paired arm members and arranged to turn at its leading end
portion. A permanent magnet is disposed at the leading end portion of the branch
arm member. An electromagnetic coil acts magnetically mutually with the permanent
magnet. While the electromagnetic coil is not magnetized, the paired arm members
are at neutral positions, where they are mutually balanced in weights. When the
electromagnetic coil acts intermittently magnetically on the permanent magnet,
the paired arm members reciprocate between the neutral positions and the biased
positions.
