Abstract:
A roller-type rocker arm (10) comprises: a body (11) including a pair of side walls (11d, 11e); a metal roller shaft (12) fixed at both ends to the pair of side walls (11d, 11e); a resin inner ring roller (13) that is axially supported by the roller shaft (12) so as to be capable of sliding; and a metal outer ring roller (14) which is axially supported by the inner ring roller (13) so as to be capable of sliding, and the outer circumferential surface of which abuts a cam. If the roller shaft (12) and the inner ring roller (13) are coaxial, a first clearance is formed between an outer circumferential surface (12a) of the roller shaft (12) and an inner circumferential surface (13a) of the inner ring roller (13). If the inner ring roller (13) and the outer ring roller (14) are coaxial, a second clearance is formed between an outer circumferential surface (13b) of the inner ring roller (13) and an inner circumferential surface (14a) of the outer ring roller (14). The radial direction size (B) of the second clearance is greater than the radial direction size (A) of the first clearance.
