Abstract:
The present invention enables work for fixing roofing tiles to be performed efficiently. The present invention reduces installation costs. The present invention reliably and strongly joins roofing tiles that are layered on each other. A roofing tile installation method comprises: a roofing tile preparation step for preparing roofing tiles 1 that have a rectangular shape in a planar view and that each have an eave-side through hole 6 which is open in an eave-side front end edge side 11 of one side edge part and a roof-ridge-side through hole 7 which is open in a roof-ridge-side rear end part 5; and a tiling step for tiling the roofing tiles on a roof by forming rows in each of which a plurality of the roofing tiles 1 are connected in the left-right direction and disposing the roofing tiles in a plurality of rows from the eave side to the roof-ridge side on a surface forming the roof of a building. The tiling step includes: a front-rear layering step for disposing the roofing tiles 1 in an overlapping manner such that the roof-ridge-side through hole 7 of a roofing tile 1 disposed on the eave-side is coaxial with the eave-side through hole 6 of a roofing tile 1 disposed on the roof-ridge-side; and a fixing step for inserting a connection member 9 through the eave-side through hole 6 and the roof-ridge-side through hole 7 which are disposed coaxially, and fixing the connection member 9 which passes through the roof-ridge-side through hole 7 and the eave-side through hole 6 to a substrate 30.
