Abstract:
Provided is a rope for an elevator, wherein a core rope has: an inner layer; a plurality of outer layer strands which are made of fibers and which are disposed on the outer periphery of the inner layer; and a plurality of substrand groups disposed at the circumference of the inner layer. The outer layer strands are each disposed between adjacent inner layer strands, on the outer periphery of the inner layer. The substrand groups each have a plurality of substrands made of fibers, which are arranged along the circumference of the same circle the center of which is the center of the inner layer. The substrand groups are each disposed between adjacent outer layer strands.
