Title:
ROPE HOLDING DEVICE FOR ELEVATORS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/103994
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rope holding device which is equipped with a surrounding member surrounding a main rope in the vicinity of the top of a car and shifting from a normal position to an operating position in order to allow the use of the main rope as a handrail by preventing the main rope from bending significantly and preventing the distance between the top of the car and the main rope from widening easily when an operator on the car leans against the main rope. The rope holding device is equipped with: a surrounding member which is provided to the elevatable body of an elevator device so as to surround a rope disposed in the vicinity of the elevatable body; a fixing member which fixes the surrounding member between a pair of beams supporting a handrail provided to the top of the elevatable body; and a positional adjustment means which is provided to the fixing member, and selectively shifts the surrounding member to a normal position where the surrounding member is disposed in an orbit such that the surrounding member does not abut against the rope, or an operating position where the rope passes through and abuts against the surrounding member and the surrounding member is disposed so that the orbit of the rope abutting against the surrounding member becomes closer to the elevatable body than in the normal position.
