Title:
ROPE SUPPORT DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1999/048789
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A rope support device for elevators, wherein columnar bodies extending along guide rails installed in an elevator shaft are mounted to the guide rails through a plurality of fulcrum bodies provided at both upper and lower ends thereof. Fixed to the columnar bodies are rope end fixed members, to which rope ends are fixed. The columnar bodies have a greater bending strength than that of the guide rails. Since the fulcrum bodies provided at both upper and lower ends of the columnar bodies are disposed substantially distant from one another, fulcrum reaction forces, which are generated on the fulcrum bodies to serve as loads in a direction orthogonal to a rail central axis, is small, and bending moments acted on the guide rails by the fulcrum reaction forces is smaller than those acting on the columnar bodies.
