Abstract:
Provided is a rope system that can inhibit shortening of longevity and can be easily manufactured. This rope system comprises: a pulley that is rotatably provided and has formed therein a crown having an outer diameter that shrinks from the center toward the edges in the rotational axis direction; and a rope that has a cross-section perpendicular to the lengthwise direction formed in a rectangular shape, and is wound onto the pulley such that the width direction aligns with the rotational axis direction, wherein the rope includes a first section and a second section in different positions in the width direction, said first section being positioned closer to the width-direction center relative to the second section in the width direction, and the spring constant of the first section being smaller than the spring constant of the second section.
