Abstract:
Provided is a rotary connector that makes it possible to achieve favorable impedance characteristics and bending resistance. A rotary connector according to the present invention comprises: a stator that has a first outer connection part; a rotor that has a second outer connection part and is provided to the stator so as to be capable of relative rotation; and a flexible cable that is accommodated in an annular space between the first outer connection part of the stator and the second outer connection part of the rotor and has two ends that are respectively connected to the stator and the rotor. The flexible cable has a first insulation layer, a second insulation layer, a signal conductor that is formed between the first insulation layer and the second insulation layer, and a shield layer that is layered on the first insulation layer on the opposite side from the signal conductor. The first insulation layer is thicker than the second insulation layer.
