Abstract:
Provided is a rotary contact device for a portable terminal or the like, the device protecting a contact from damage and defacement and maintaining a decent appearance when not in use. The contact device, which is used for purposes including charging of a portable terminal or the like and data communication, is provided with a contact holder 11 having at least one contact 15, and a device body 12 having an opening 13 for attaching the contact holder. The contact holder has a decorative surface 14 on one surface thereof constituting part of the device body, with the contact disposed on the other surface thereof. The contact holder is attached to the device body so as to be rotatable by a rotation mechanism 16. Further, the contact holder constitutes part of the device body with the contact protruding to the surface side of the device body when in use and with the decorative surface appearing on the surface side when not in use.
