Abstract:
A control unit (1): determines that a contactor (9) is in open state on the basis of a voltage (Vdc) across a smoothing capacitor (4) and an electric current (Ib) flowing through a DC power source (6); when a rotational speed is greater than or equal to a speed threshold value (ωth), controls both inverters (10) through shutdown control and puts both contactors (9) into open state; after the rotational speed falls below the speed threshold value (ωth), controls an inverter (10) on the failure side through active short circuit control and drives an inverter (10) on the normal side by a discharge torque (TQ1) of the smoothing capacitor (4); and, after an abnormal voltage state is resolved, controls a normal contactor (9) into closed state and drives a rotary electric machine (80) by one inverter (10).
