Abstract:
This rotary electric machine is provided with: a field magneton (40) that has magnets (91, 92, 800, 1000, 1201, 1202) having circumferentially alternating polarities; and an armature (50) having a multi-phase armature winding (51), wherein any among the field magneton and the armature serves as a rotor. The field magneton has: magnetic carriers (43, 45) arranged coaxially with the rotation shaft (11) of the rotor; and cylindrical magnet holders (700, 900, 1100, 1300) radially fixed to the armature-side circumferential surface among the magnet carriers. The magnets are radially fixed to the armature-side circumferential surface among the magnet holders, and the magnet holders have a structure of being stacked in the axial direction of the rotation shaft.
