Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a rotary electric machine having high efficiency and high reliability. In this rotary electric machine, which has a stator wound with a plurality of coils, and a rotor rotatably supported with respect to the stator with a predetermined gap therebetween, the coil has, in slots of the stator, at least one connection part for each winding, connected conductors have steps between each other in the connection part and are each fitted to another conductor so as to bury the steps, the steps have connection surfaces that are in contact with each other inside the slots and electrically conductive to each other, and thermally expandable shields that can press the coils in the radial direction of the stator are disposed inside the slots.
