Abstract:
This outer-rotor-type rotary electric machine (51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56) comprises: a rotor housing (4W) which fixes a rotor core (4X) and in which a flow passage (15) through which a liquid medium flows is formed; a stator (2) disposed on the inner circumferential side of the rotor core (4X); and oil seals (20A, 20B) disposed between the rotor housing (4W) and the stator (2). The rotor housing (4W) includes: an outer circumferential section (4C) disposed on the outer circumferential side of the stator (2); inner circumferential sections (4SA, 4SB) disposed on the inner circumferential side of the stator (2); and a connection section (4A) which connects the outer circumferential section (4C) and the inner circumferential sections (4SA, 4SB). The oil seals (20A, 20B) have: fixed sections (20AT, 20BT) fixed to an inner circumferential surface of the stator (2); and connection sections (20AS, 20BS) making sliding contact with the inner circumferential sections (4SA, 4SB).
