Abstract:
This rotary electric machine is equipped with an inner rotor, an outer rotor, a stator, a first motor-generator comprising the inner rotor and the outer rotor, a second motor-generator comprising the outer rotor and the stator, first and second electric power conversion means, and an electronic control unit (ECU) for controlling the first and second electric power conversion means. The ECU has a first map for determining a current value and a current lead angle when traveling in a single-drive electric vehicle (EV) mode and a second map for determining a current value and a current lead angle when traveling in a range extend (RE) mode or in a dual-drive electric vehicle (EV) mode. Consequently, the influence of magnetic flux interference on the driving of the vehicle is reduced even when the vehicle is traveling in the RE mode.
