Abstract:
Provided is a rotary electric machine comprising a rotor core and an end plate abutting an end part of the rotor core. A plurality of coolant flow channels (oil flow channels) are formed in the rotor core, the flow channels penetrating in an axial direction and being arranged in a circumferential direction. The end plate includes an outer wall section forming a coolant reservoir (oil reservoir) communicating with the plurality of coolant flow channels (oil flow channels). An opening, into which is inserted a rotor shaft axially supporting the rotor core, is formed in the outer wall section. An inner circumferential wall of the opening is separated from the rotor shaft, and when viewed from the axial direction, is positioned inward of the radially outermost position of the coolant flow channels (oil flow channels).
