Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rotary electric machine which suppresses damage to a magnet and which improves cooling performance of the magnet. The present invention comprises a rotary shaft 21, a rotor 20, and core end members 204 and 205 connected to end portions of the rotor 20. The rotor 20 includes magnets 201, a rotor core 200, and interposed members 301a and 301b interposed between the magnets 201 and the rotor core 200. The rotor core 200 has magnet insertion holes 202 for placing the magnets 201 therein and flux barriers 203a and 203b. The rotary shaft 21 is provided with a first flow path 21a for causing a refrigerant to flow therethrough. The core end members 204 and 205 are provided with a second flow path 504a for connecting the first flow path 21a and the flux barrier 203a to each other. The interposed members 301a and 301b each form a long side of a rectangular cross-section, and are provided along the axial direction so that a cooling flow path for the refrigerant is formed on both the opposing surfaces of the central portions of the magnets 201 in the axial direction.
