Abstract:
Disclosed is a rotary electric machine comprising: a stator having a stator coil; a rotor having a hollow rotor shaft and a rotor core fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the rotor shaft; and an oil passage forming member that forms an oil passage and that extends from an axial opening on one axial end side of the rotor shaft to the hollow inside of the rotor shaft. The oil passage includes: a first oil passage which extends along the axial direction in the form of having the center axis thereof on the upper side in the vertical direction than the axial center of the rotor shaft, and through which oil can be discharged to a first position in the inner circumferential surface of the rotor shaft; and a second oil passage through which oil can be discharged to a second position closer to the one axial end side than the first position in the inner circumferential surface of the rotor shaft.
