Abstract:
This rotary electric machine comprises: a control board on which a power circuit having a switching element is mounted; a motor which is driven by the control board; a motor frame which accommodates the motor; a cover which covers the motor frame and the control board; and a heat sink which is affixed to the motor frame. The motor frame, the cover, and the heat sink are made from metal. At least three catch parts are provided to the motor frame or to the heat sink. At least three press-fitting surfaces which, respectively, come into contact with the three catch parts due to the three catch parts being press-fit thereto, are provided on the inner surface of the cover. The three catch parts are disposed on the same radius and centered around the output axis of the motor, and the angle formed between two of the catch parts which are adjacent in the circumferential direction is less than 180 degrees.
