Abstract:
Provided is a rotary electric machine including: a rotary electric machine body that has a rotor and a stator; and a housing that accommodates the rotary electric machine body. In the housing, a refrigerant path for a refrigerant is disposed along the peripheral direction of the rotary electric machine body. The refrigerant path has an inflow port at one side in the axial direction and has an outflow port at the other side in the axial direction. The inflow port and the outflow port are away from each other in the peripheral direction. A rib that extends in the axial direction between the inflow port and the outflow port and that projects radially is formed in an inner peripheral surface of the refrigerant path. The rib extends from an inner wall of the refrigerant path at one side toward the other side. A first gap is formed between an end of the rib at the other side and the inner wall of the refrigerant path at the other side. The radial projection amount of the rib is less than the radial length of the refrigerant path. A second gap is formed between the rib and an outer peripheral surface of the refrigerant path.
