Abstract:
A rotary electric machine (10) comprises: a stator (30) having a stator winding (31); a rotor (20) disposed opposite the stator; and a housing (60) that houses the stator and the rotor. A refrigerant supply unit (70): is provided in a position that is vertically above the stator and the rotor when the rotary electric machine is installed in the housing; and supplies liquid refrigerant to the interior of the housing. A guide part (A2, 83) guides the refrigerant supplied from the refrigerant supply unit into an air gap between the stator and the rotor in the housing.
