Abstract:
This rotary electronic component (80) urges, with appropriate elastic force, a sliding part (50a) of a slider (50) to an annular electrode (32) side, and also retains the sliding part (50a), due to a buffer member (82) being provided between the sliding part (50a) and a rotor (40). The foregoing curbs vibration of the sliding part (50a) and makes it possible to reduce metal fatigue of the slider (50). Further, impregnating the buffer member (82) with a lubricant and bringing part thereof into contact with the annular electrode (32) also makes it possible to coat the annular electrode (32) with the lubricant. The foregoing causes the sliding part (50a) to slide more smoothly and makes it possible to further reduce wear on a contact portion. Further, the buffer member (82) functions to wipe the surface of the annular electrode (32), thus collecting foreign matter such as dust on the annular electrode (32) and preventing adverse effects of the foreign matter on the contact portion. Due to the foregoing, the rotary electronic component (80) achieves longer lifetime and high operational reliability.
