Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to solve the problem in which a motor no longer follows a control signal during high-speed rotation if high-precision positioning accuracy is achieved in a low-speed rotation range. A rotary encoder according to the present invention comprises a magnetic sensor unit, a high-precision incremental signal generating unit, a motor control signal generating unit, and a resolution switching control unit, and comprises a function in which a high-precision incremental signal (mechanical angle) is generated on the basis of phase information included in a low-precision incremental signal from the magnetic sensor unit and angle information included in a high-precision absolute signal from the magnetic sensor unit, a function in which a low-speed/high-precision motor control signal (electrical angle) is generated on the basis of the low-precision incremental signal and the high-precision incremental signal, a function in which a high-speed/low-precision motor control signal (electrical angle) is generated on the basis of the low-precision incremental signal and the high-precision incremental signal, and a function in which the low-speed/high-precision motor control signal is outputted during low-speed rotation of the motor, and the high-speed/low-precision motor control signal is outputted during high-speed rotation of the motor.
