Abstract:
This rotary joint comprises: a stationary body having a first divided waveguide that is arranged along an arc centered on a central axis and has a flat opening surface on one side, a first waveguide connected at one end to one end of the first divided waveguide through a first coupling part, and a second waveguide connected at one end to the other end of the first divided waveguide through a second coupling part; and a rotary body that has an annular second divided waveguide that is arranged along the circumference having the same diameter as the arc along which the first divided waveguide is arranged while being centered on the central axis and that has a flat opening surface facing the opening surface of the first divided waveguide on one side, and a plurality of third waveguides each of which being disposed at a distance from one another on the other surface facing the one surface of the second divided waveguide and each of which being coupled to the second divided waveguide through a directional coupler, the rotary body being rotatable about the central axis with respect to the stationary body and configured such that at a position where the opening surfaces face each other, the second divided waveguide forms a waveguide with the first divided waveguide.
