Abstract:
A structure for starting a rotary press which is provided with a dancer roller type infeed tension control unit consisting of a dancer roller-position detector, a drag roller-speed change gear and a change gear ratio control unit, to prevent the tension of the running paper attached to a reel stand from becoming unstable (low) before and after the starting of a printing operation, and troubles, such as the waving of the running paper and the erroneous cutting of paper from occuring, the structure being characterized in that it is provided with a dancer roller stopper control unit, in which a dancer roller stopper, an element for detecting the setting and removing of a cylinder in a printing unit, and a stopper adapted to be released by a signal, which is representative of the setting of the cylinder, from the detecting element, and receive a signal, which is representative of the removal of the cylinder, therefrom are connected to a dancer roller to control the position of the dancer roller, the tension of the running paper at the starting of the rotary press being stabilized by controlling the dancer roller constantly to a neutral position.
