Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the technical field of rotary switches, and particularly relates to a rotary switch moving contact assembly for physically interrupting an electric arc. The assembly comprises a moving contact rotary frame, and a moving contact provided on the moving contact rotary frame and in linkage fit with the moving contact rotary frame. A physical interruption structure used for interrupting an electric arc is provided on the moving contact rotary frame, the physical interruption structure comprising at least one group of insulation clamp heads. One group of insulation clamp heads consists of two oppositely-arranged insulation clamp heads which are at least partially insulated, and the two oppositely-arranged insulation clamp heads have a first state in which the two insulation clamp heads are separated to form a gap allowing a static contact to rotate therethrough, and a second state in which the two insulation clamp heads are contacted for interrupting an electric arc. The present invention is innovative in that a mode of physically interrupting an electric arc between the moving contact and the static contact by means of the insulation clamp heads is provided for a rotary switch; in comparison with an existing arc extinguishing mode, the arc extinguishing effect is remarkably improved.
