Abstract:
This rotary table comprises: a base body; a movable ring disposed rotatably on the base body; a fixed ring disposed on the inner circumference side of the movable ring and fixed to the base body; and a plurality of rolling elements. The rotary table includes: a sensor fixed to the base body; and a dog fixed to the movable ring. The movable ring includes: a scale extending to at least a section of an outer circumference side surface; and a groove-shaped recess formed, at a position corresponding to the scale on the outer circumference of the movable ring, so as to be recessed inward from the outer circumference. The dog includes: a leg part that mates with the recess; and a detected part that projects outward from the leg part and is detectable by the sensor. The leg part can be fixed with respect to the movable ring at any position of the recess.
