Abstract:
The present invention utilizes gravity to rotate a rotary body by positioning a plurality of material points attached to the rotary body at positions where the torque acting on the rotary body is constantly maintained positive. The present invention comprises a plurality of weight holding mechanisms (30) provided at installation positions (21) on a main rotary body (20), which is rotatably mounted to a base (10), so as to be away from the rotation center O of the main rotary body by a radius R of rotation and to be spaced apart from each other at equal angles with respect to the rotation center O. The weight holding mechanisms each comprise: a weight support rotary body (31) rotatably provided to the main rotary body; a weight body (32) pivotably supported by a support portion (31a) with respect to the weight support rotary body (31); and a force-receiving rotary body (34) that attempts to pivot when a pivoting force of the weight body applied by the weight body itself is received at a power-receiving position. The present invention comprises a power applying mechanism (50) that applies power to rotate the force-receiving rotary body 34 of the weight holding mechanisms (30) in a direction reverse to the rotation direction of the main rotary body at the same angular velocity as that of the main rotary body.
