Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a rotating electric machine device (100) and an electric power steering device (150) in which a sensor (17) and control circuits (16) of two systems are provided in order to drive a rotating electric machine (2) having the windings of the two systems and, while ensuring the independence of each system and the heat dissipation property of a control board (4), the connection between the sensor (17) and communication between the control circuits (16) of the two systems is obtained with a small size and low cost. A first control board (4a), a second control board (4b), and a sensor board (40) are connected to each other by a first terminal group (37a) and a second terminal group (37b), wherein: the first control board (4a) is mounted with a first control circuit (16a) for controlling the current flowing through the winding of the first system; the second control board (4b) faces the first control board (4a) with the axial line of an output shaft (21) sandwiched therebetween and is mounted with a second control circuit (16b) for controlling the current flowing through the winding of the second system; and the sensor board (40) faces an axial end of the output shaft (21) and is mounted with the sensor (17) and a communication line (14).
