Abstract:
This rotating electric machine includes a stator, a rotor, and a housing that houses the stator and rotor, wherein at least one of the following conditions 1 and 2 is satisfied. Condition 1. The thermal conductivity A of a non-oriented electrical steel sheet used in an iron core of the stator is 12 to 35 W/(m·K), the thermal conductivity B of the non-oriented electrical steel sheet used in an iron core of the rotor is 10 to 33 W/(m·K), and the thermal conductivities of the two satisfy the following formula (1): A > B. Condition 2. The thermal diffusivity A1 of the non-oriented electrical steel sheet used in the iron core of the stator is 3.0×10-6 to 9.0×10-6 m2/sW/(m·K), the thermal diffusivity B1 of the non-oriented electrical steel sheet used in the iron core of the rotor is 2.5×10-6 to 8.5×10-6 m2/sW/(m·K), and the thermal diffusivities of the two satisfy the following formula (3): A1 > B1.
