Abstract:
The winding of a stator (14A) has a plurality of divided coils. The divided coils have a pair of intra-slot housed portions (21) respectively housed in different slots (S) among a plurality of slots (S) formed between adjacent teeth of the stator. When the number of poles of a rotor used together with the stator (14A) is denoted by P, the number of phases of an AC power supply applied to a rotating electric machine is denoted by M (M is an integer of 3 or more), and the number of slots (S) is denoted by Sn, the number of slots q per pole and phase that is represented by q = Sn/(P x M) becomes an irreducible fraction. The divided coils have two types including: a large divided coil (20L) having the pair of intra-slot housed portions (21) each independently housed in the slots (S); and a small divided coil (20S) having the pair of intra-slot housed portions (21) each housed in the slots (S) together with the intra-slot housed portions (21) of other divided coil.
