Abstract:
Provided is a rotating electric machine stator capable of more reducing vibration and radiated sound than the conventional rotating electric machine stators, and also provided is a rotating electric machine. The rotating electric machine stator of the present invention is characterized by comprising a stator core 10 having a plurality of teeth 11 and a plurality of slots 12 formed between the plurality of teeth 11, coils 30 inserted into the slots 12 to form a distributed winding, and a resin disposed between the slots 12 and the coils 30 to fix the coil 30, wherein: the slots 12 have a filled portion in which the resin is filled and a non-filled portion in which the resin is not filled; and the filled portion is formed at a position vertical to the rotational axis direction of the rotating electric machine and substantially symmetrical with respect to a plane passing through the center of the rotational axis direction.
