Abstract:
A rotating electrical machine (10) is provided with a rotor (700) including a magnet portion (720), and an armature (50) having a multiphase armature winding (51) and arranged facing the magnet portion. The magnet portion is provided with a plurality of arc-shaped magnets (721) arranged side-by-side in the circumferential direction. Each magnet is oriented in such a way that the orientation of the easy axis of magnetization is more parallel to a d-axis, which is a magnetic pole center, on the side of the d-axis than on the side of a q-axis, which is a magnetic pole boundary, and the magnetic path of the magnet is formed along the easy axis of magnetization. Filamentous members (811) formed from chemical fibers of a non-magnetic material are wound around the outer circumferential surface of each magnet in such a way as to compress each magnet inward from the radially outer side.
