Abstract:

Provided is a rotating input device capable of having fewer springs and capable of reliably holding and returning a rotation member. The rotation member (20) is rotatably supported by a housing and the rotation member (20) is returned to a return rotation position by a return spring member (40). A cam section (30) is formed in the rotation member (20) and a follower (36) is impelled by a holding spring member (35) and fits into a recessed section of the cam section (30). A hold release member (37) is pressed downwards by the holding spring member (35). When the hold release member (37) is pressed upwards, the fitting together of the follower (36) and the recessed section of the cam section (30) is released, and the rotation member (20) is returned to the return rotation position.
