Abstract:
A supercharger (1A) comprises a rotating shaft (2), a journal bearing (5A), and a bearing housing (10). The journal bearing (5A) comprises load support surfaces (14, 15), a first gap formation unit (F1), and a second gap formation unit (F2). The first gap formation unit (F1) forms a first gap (101) in the radial direction between load support surfaces (14, 15) that are adjacent in a center axis (O) direction. The second gap formation unit (F2) forms a second gap (102) that is smaller than the first gap in the radial direction, between the load support surfaces (14, 15) that are adjacent in the center axis (O) direction.
