Abstract:
Disclosed is a rotation angle detecting device for a car driving motor, the rotation angle detecting device being compact, lightweight, and able to be easily mounted and enabling a reduction in the number of electric circuits and components in the outside. Specifically disclosed is a rotation angle detecting device (1) provided with a magnetic encoder (2) comprising a plurality of magnetic tracks (2A, 2B) which are provided in concentric ring shapes and have different numbers of magnetic poles, and a plurality of magnetic sensors (3A, 3B) which detect the magnetic fields of the magnetic tracks (2A, 2B), respectively. The magnetic sensors (3A, 3B) have a function of detecting information relating to positions in the magnetic poles of the magnetic tracks (2A, 2B). A phase difference detecting means (6) for finding the phase difference between magnetic field signals detected by the magnetic sensors (3A, 3B), an angle calculating means (7) for calculating the absolute angles of the magnetic tracks (2A, 2B) on the basis of the detected phase difference, and a signal outputting means (8) for outputting information relating to the calculated angles to the outside are provided. The magnetic encoder (2) is mounted to an output shaft (51) of a car driving motor or a bearing thereof.
