Abstract:

A rotation angle estimation device (40) comprises an estimation unit (52) that estimates the rotation angle (θest) of a rotation electrical machine (10). The rotation angle estimation device: calculates, on the basis of an estimated rotation angle, torque current and excitation current corresponding to respective winding groups (10A, 10B) in an estimated rotation coordinate system; calculates an excitation difference current which is a difference in excitation currents corresponding to the respective winding groups, a torque difference current which is a difference in torque currents corresponding to the respective winding groups, excitation sum current which is a sum of the excitation currents corresponding to the respective winding groups, and torque sum current which is a sum of the torque currents corresponding to the respective winding groups; calculates an excitation difference instruction voltage, a torque difference instruction voltage, and the like, on the basis of the excitation difference current and the like; executes switching-control for electric power converters (20A, 20B) on the basis of the excitation difference instruction voltage or the like; and superposes a high-frequency voltage on, for example, the excitation difference instruction voltage. The estimation unit estimates the rotation angle on the basis of, for example, a high-frequency component included in the excitation difference current.
