Abstract:
A rotation drive device 1 is provided with: a rotation actuation unit 2; a drive unit 3; an operation wire 4; and an outer tube 5. The rotation actuation unit 2 has an actuation shaft 21 and an actuation gear 22 for rotating the actuation shaft 21. The drive unit 3 has a drive gear 31 that is driven by the drive unit 3 to rotate. The rotation drive device 1 has: an intermediate gear 6 that is connected to the actuation gear 22 to rotate the actuation shaft 21; a transmission gear 7 that transmits the rotation of the drive gear 31; and a switch member 8 that moves the transmission gear 7 to switch between a first connection state in which the transmission gear 7 is connected to the actuation gear 22 and a second connection state in which the transmission gear 7 is connected to the intermediate gear 6. The outer tube 5 is connected to the switch member 8. With the use of the rotation drive device that rotates the actuation shaft 21 in one direction D1 or the other direction D2 by operating the outer tube 5, it is possible to perform both the operations for rotating the actuation shaft as an actuation target in one direction or the other direction by operating the operation wire in one direction.
