Abstract:
Provided is a rotational damper that is free from a problem of fluctuation in rotational resistance occurring during rotation of a rotor. On the bottom surface 2b of a housing 2, a plurality of walls 2d stand upright concentrically about the bearing part 2c. The walls 2d0, 2d1, 2d2, 2d3 each have cutouts 2e formed at circumferential positions so as to be point-symmetrical about a bearing part 2c, and the cutouts 2e are dispersedly arranged at the circumferential positions so as to evenly divide each circumference, between the corresponding adjoining walls 2d, centered about the bearing part 2c. On the lateral surface 4b of a rotor 4, a plurality of walls 4d stand upright concentrically about the center pin 4c at a pitch which is offset by half a pitch from the standing pitch of the walls 2d on the housing 2 side. The walls 4d0, 4d1, 4d2 each have cutouts 4e formed at circumferential positions so as to be point-symmetrical about the center pin 4c, and the cutouts 4e are dispersedly arranged at the circumferential positions so as to evenly divide each circumference, between the corresponding walls 4d, centered about the center pin 4c.
